How to get there

The symposium will be held in the 40 George Square at the George Square Complex, in the heart of the Old Town Campus of the University of Edinburgh.

The reception on Thursday 26th will be held in the Playfair library in the University of Edinburgh Old College.

Transport

Flying

Being the capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh has excellent transport links with all major airlines flying to Edinburgh airport.

Train

Edinburgh is a 4.5 - 5 hour train journey from London with Edinburgh Waverly being the final stop to deposit you in the city centre. There are also regular trains from Glasgow to Edinburgh Waverly. Make sure you get off at Edinburgh Waverly, NOT Edinburgh Haymarket or Edinburgh Park.

Trains can be booked either direct from carraige providers or through third party companies such as national rail enquiries or the trainline.com.

Transport from Edinburgh Airport

From Edinburgh airport to Edinburgh city centre (bus station, St Andrew Square) the tram is the simplest option or, cheaper, the Airlink bus.
